The Cougar Commitment

The Cougar Commitment is Brookhaven Academy’s Annual Fund, created to enhance the student experience today while investing in the future of our school. Every gift, regardless of size, helps provide important programs, resources, facility improvements, and opportunities beyond what tuition alone can cover.

When our families, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends come together, individual gifts become something much greater. Your support helps Brookhaven Academy respond to current needs, pursue new opportunities, and continue building a strong future for generations of Cougars.

Every Gift Makes a Difference. No gift is too large or too small. Donors may make a one-time gift or fulfill a larger pledge over an agreed period. Every contribution is meaningful, and every donor becomes part of The Cougar Commitment.

Charge Your BA Account

Brookhaven Academy parents, faculty, and staff may make an Annual Fund pledge through their BA account. The full pledge amount may be charged at once or billed in equal monthly payments through May 2027.

Donors may also make a pledge and arrange a payment schedule that works for them. Please contact Brookhaven Academy to discuss pledge options or gifts fulfilled over multiple years.

Cougar Blue Never Leaves You

Once a Cougar, always a Cougar! We invite every Brookhaven Academy alumnus to participate in The Cougar Commitment by making an Alumni Homecoming Gift. Pledge an amount that is meaningful to you and make your gift in honor of your graduating class.

Every gift, regardless of size, counts toward your class’s participation and supports Brookhaven Academy’s Annual Fund. Together, our alumni can celebrate the memories, friendships, and traditions that shaped their time at BA while investing in opportunities for future generations of Cougars.

When making your gift, be sure to include your graduation year, so your class receives recognition.

Year-End Giving

Celebrate the close of the year with a gift that supports Brookhaven Academy and its students. Year-end gifts may be made through The Cougar Commitment and can provide a meaningful way to honor the season of giving. Your donation is tax-deductible.

Children’s Promise Act

The Mississippi Children’s Promise Act allows eligible business taxpayers, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, and sole proprietorships to make a voluntary cash contribution to Brookhaven Academy and receive a dollar-for-dollar Mississippi tax credit for the amount donated, up to 50% of the taxpayer’s applicable Mississippi tax liability.

Athletic Sponsorships

Partner with Brookhaven Academy Athletics through one of our sponsorship opportunities. Athletic sponsorships provide valuable support while offering businesses and organizations meaningful visibility within the BA community.

Memorial and Honor Gifts

Celebrate a special person, recognize an important milestone, or remember someone meaningful with a gift made in their honor or memory. Brookhaven Academy will acknowledge your thoughtful tribute and notify the person or family you designate.

Leave a Legacy Brick Campaign

Create a permanent connection to Brookhaven Academy with a personalized legacy brick. Bricks may recognize alumni, families, students, faculty, friends, or someone special to the BA community and are proudly displayed in our Cougar Courtyard on campus.

Column Gifts

Honor your family, class, or connection to Brookhaven Academy through a commemorative column gift. This lasting recognition celebrates those who have helped shape BA’s story.

Planned Giving

Include Brookhaven Academy in your long-term charitable plans through a will, trust, beneficiary designation, or other planned gift. Planned giving offers a meaningful way to create a lasting legacy for future generations of Cougars.
