Lincoln County Teen Age Republican Club will hold its first club meeting Thursday, September 2, from 4:00-5:30 at Broma's. It is more of a "come and go" to accomodate students' schedules. Students will have the opportunity to order the club t-shirt, pay annual dues and complete membership forms.

Homecoming T-Shirst are on sale for $12. Deadline to order is September 10th. Elementary students will receive order forms on Tuesday, August 31. JH/HS students turn in order forms to Dawn Freeman or the office.

The football after party this week is a JH/HS dance Friday night in the gym from 10-12. It is $5 a person. Drinks can be purchased and finger foods will be provided for free. This is sponsored by the softball team.

The Softball team is selling chances for a side of dressed beef. Tickets are $10 each. Two will be given away, approximately 200-250 lbs each. The drawing will be September 3 during halftime of the football game. Contact one of the softball players or coaches (or Chastity Stewart 601-695-1037.) Proceeds will go towards helping to build a softball field on campus.

Homecoming Maid and Escort pictures for the newspaper will be Wednesday, September 8, at 10:00 am.

PTL will be holding a consignment sale Thursday, September 16. Any gently worn khaki shorts, skirts, pants and collared shirts, as well as BA t-shirts and sweats will be accepted. This is a 70/30 split. Clothes may be dropped off until Wednesday, September 15. Details are being sent home Tuesday, August 30 with elementary students or you may stop by the office to pick up a flyer with more details.

Any parent, student or fan interested in praying for our team, cheerleaders, school, etc. meet on the field at 6:30 Friday night. This will be a weekly event for all home and away games.

Book Fair
Our Book Fair will begin on Monday, August 30th. The theme is "Reading Saves the Day." The following activites have been scheduled for Elementary.

Wednesday, Sept 1 - Dress as your favorite "Super Hero." Best dressed winners will be chosen.

Thursday, Sept 2 - Muffins for Mon and Donuts for Dad (7:30-8:00) - Moms and Dads may come and bring you to the Book Fair and enjoy a donut or muffin with juice before school. (7:30-3:00)

Novel Ideas book of the month is Anthem by Ayn (Ine) Rand. Meeting will be September 29, at break in Mrs. Culbertson's room. All students 7th -12th are eligible to participate for extra credit. See Mrs. Culbertson for details.
