1st Nine Week Exam Schedule

Oct. 6-9,2008

Monday - Math, Psychology, Reading & Spelling, Music

Tuesday - English, Creative Writing, Business Law, Accounting

Wednesday - History, Spanish, Journalism

Thursday - Science, Computer, Keyboarding, Bible

Students will be taking the nine weeks exams during their regularly scheduled class period.

Supervision will be provided in the Library for students who need more time to complete their exams.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

1st Nine Weeks Exams – Oct. 6th -9th .

 

  • Juniors please turn your money in to Mrs. Reed so you can get credit for the Garbage bags you’ve sold.
  • Any business that would like to set up a booth at BA’s College and Career Fair on Oct. 23rd, please contact Mrs. Reed.
  • PSAT Test for all juniors is October 15th. Any 10th Grade student interested in taking the test may register with Mrs. Reed. The cost for 10th Grade students is $15 to cover the cost of scoring. 10th Graders need to register with Mrs. Reed ASAP. There are limited spots available for 10th grade students.
  • PLAN Test for all 10th Grade Students is October 21st.
  • ACT Workshop @ BA – October 13th – 8:00 – 2:30. Cost is $40. See Mrs. Reed to register.  Last day to sign up is Thursday, 10/9/08.
  • Miss. Merry Christmas Contest applications can be picked up from Mrs. Reed. Deadline – Oct. 6, 2008. Contestants must be a resident of Lincoln County and High School Senior up to age 20.
  • Please send any snapshots you have to Karen Rogers for the yearbook.
  • Pee wee football and cheer pictures will be taken Oct. 7th @ 4:00p.m.
  • 7th grade & Jr. High football pictures will be taken Oct. 16th @ 4:00p.m.
  • Scholarship Opportunity – Burger King Scholars – apply online at www.bk.com/scholars now through Feb. 1, 2009. $1000 scholarship.

  • Watson Quality Ford Home Team Hero of the Week”. Nominees are evaluated on the following criteria: Outstanding achievements on the athletic field, classroom and community. Leader in school, church, team sports, etc. Respectful of teachers, coaches, and peers and a role model to younger students or siblings.   • Wendy’s High School Heisman. Seniors should register online at www.wendysheisman.com . Deadline – October 1st.

  • Prudential Spirit of Commhnity Awards - Recognizing Middle and High School Students for volunteer service in their communities.Application on-line at www.prudential.com/spirit . Deadline Oct. 31, 2009.
Community Service Opportunities
  •  Lincoln County Wildlife Expo – September 19th & 20th @ the Lincoln County Multi-Purpose Building. See Mrs. Reed for more information. Good Opportunity for earning Community Service Hours.
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi now accepting applications. Seniors must register by December.
